About Plymouth Park
What sets Plymouth Park Campground apart is its distinctive location on an island in the Columbia River, offering a peaceful setting surrounded by water and abundant wildlife, including mule deer and raptors. With excellent opportunities for fishing, swimming, and boating on Lake Umatilla, this campground appeals to outdoor enthusiasts seeking a blend of recreation and tranquility.
Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Plymouth Park Campground features 32 campsites equipped with electric hookups to support RVs and tents. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill, complemented by well-maintained restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station, ensuring convenience and comfort for overnight stays. The day-use area adds accessibility to a swim beach, a boat launch, and a playground, making it ideal for families or groups. Shade is provided by Russian olive trees, though it may be limited in certain areas.
Located near the small town of Plymouth, Washington, the campground is just minutes from McNary Dam and Lake Wallula, both excellent spots for additional boating, fishing, and sightseeing. With its proximity to these attractions and its well-thought-out amenities, Plymouth Park serves as an ideal base for both weekend getaways and more extended vacations.
