Porcupine Springs Campground

Set amid the tranquil forested terrain of the Sawtooth National Forest, Porcupine Springs Campground offers a serene retreat characterized by its elevation of 6,950 feet, picturesque surroundings, and superb trail access. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, this campground boasts a diverse array of opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and off-road vehicle exploration, with trailheads like Porcupine Springs and Ross Falls starting right at the site. The area’s vibrant summer wildflowers and occasional wildlife encounters add to its natural charm.

The campground features 12 individual campsites and three group sites, with some group areas accommodating up to 100 people. Each site is furnished for comfort with picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and utility tables, and the facility includes accessible vault toilets and potable water. Loop C is particularly appealing for equestrian campers, as it includes corrals for horses. Gravel roads and parking areas enhance accessibility for trailers and RVs, adding convenience to the rustic setting.

Located approximately 31 miles south of Hansen, Idaho, Porcupine Springs is also within close reach of Rock Creek, a favored spot for anglers.
