Campground Overview
About Ruedi Marina Campground
Imagine waking to the cool mountain air and the sight of tranquil waters shimmering under the morning sun—Ruedi Marina Campground offers an intimate escape with just eight campsites along the sparkling Ruedi Reservoir. Set at an elevation of 7,800 feet within the White River National Forest, this lightly used campground provides a peaceful retreat for those seeking water-based recreation and mountain solitude.
Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and access to potable water, alongside a vault toilet facility. Nearby, a boat ramp opens the door to boating, kayaking, and fishing on the reservoir, known for its excellent trout population. Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of hiking or mountain biking on trails like the Ruedi Trail, which climbs to panoramic views from Red Table Mountain. Despite its limited facilities—no electric or sewer hookups—the campground offers a pristine, simple camping experience just 14 miles from the small town of Basalt.
Beyond the campsite, Ruedi Reservoir and the Fryingpan River, designated as Gold Medal Waters, draw anglers eager for world-class fly fishing, while the nearby forest teems with wildlife like elk and deer. Located at the end of a scenic drive along Fryingpan River Road, Ruedi Marina is a perfect base for weekend getaways or quiet vacations immersed in Colorado's natural beauty.
