Campground Overview
About San Antonio Campground
What sets San Antonio Campground apart is its serene ambiance, created by the gentle sounds of San Antonio Creek flowing through the towering ponderosa pines at 7,600 feet in elevation. This idyllic retreat in the Santa Fe National Forest combines natural beauty, easy accessibility, and well-designed facilities to make it a favorite among campers of all types.
The campground offers 20 campsites for tents, trailers, and RVs, six of which feature water and electric hookups, as well as a group site with a pavilion that accommodates up to 100 people. Each campsite includes picnic tables, grills, and fire rings, while paved roads and spurs add a layer of convenience. Vault toilets, drinking water, and bear-proof trash bins ensure a comfortable and eco-friendly stay. A paved walking trail meanders along the creek, providing access for trout fishing and wildlife viewing, while nearby La Cueva and Jemez Springs offer supplies and local charm.
Located just nine miles from Jemez Springs, the campground is perfectly situated for day trips to attractions such as the Spence Hot Springs, Battleship Rock Trailhead, and Valles Caldera National Preserve, all within a half-hour’s reach. Whether you're seeking a peaceful weekend escape or a base for outdoor exploration, San Antonio Campground delivers a quintessential New Mexico camping experience.
