About San Juan County Park
How does camping with ocean vistas, serene meadows, and the distant silhouettes of the Olympic Mountains sound? San Juan County Park Campground on San Juan Island offers some of the most picturesque camping experiences in the Pacific Northwest, with breathtaking views of Haro Strait and the chance to spot orcas directly from your campsite.
This 12-acre campground features 20 tent and RV sites and additional hiker/biker spots, all equipped with essentials like picnic tables, fire pits, potable water, and flush toilets. The shoreline provides opportunities for kayaking, whale watching, and exploring rocky bluffs and gravel beaches. While the sites are relatively close together, the unparalleled natural setting and evening sunsets over the strait more than compensate.
Located just 10 miles from Friday Harbor, this park provides easy access to local attractions like Lime Kiln Point State Park, known for its lighthouse and whale sightings, and English Camp, a historic site. Perfect for weekend getaways or longer stays, San Juan County Park is a gateway to the rich beauty and wildlife of the island.
