Perched in a peaceful saddle above the North Platte River, Six Mile Campground offers a serene backcountry experience with direct access to the dramatic Platte River Wilderness Area, renowned for its world-class trout fishing and rugged hiking trails. This picturesque campground sets itself apart with its intimate setting, featuring only nine well-maintained sites, including three pull-through options, catering to both tent campers and small RVs.
The campground is equipped with essential amenities, such as picnic tables, fire grates, potable water during the summer, and vault toilets. Its strategic location just two miles off Highway 230 makes it easily accessible while still feeling remote. For floaters and anglers, a dedicated parking area provides convenient access to the river.
