While lacking hookups, the campground's prime lakeside location and stunning vistas more than compensate. Clean vault toilets and water spigots are conveniently placed throughout the grounds.

Situated within Trinidad Lake State Park, South Shore Campground is just a 15-minute drive from the historic town of Trinidad. The park's extensive trail network allows campers to explore diverse ecosystems, from pinyon-juniper woodlands to shortgrass prairie. Anglers can cast for rainbow trout, walleye, and bass from the shore or launch their boats at the nearby ramp.
