Campground Overview

About Tannery Gulch Campground

What sets Tannery Gulch Campground apart is its prime location along the scenic shores of Trinity Lake, where towering pines and vibrant oaks create an inviting natural canopy. With direct lake access and a wealth of outdoor activities, this campground offers an exceptional retreat for water enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Tannery Gulch features 82 campsites across four loops, most of which provide stunning views of Trinity Lake, except for those in Loop A. Each site includes essentials like a picnic table, fire ring, and some with bear-proof lockers. The campground boasts modern conveniences, including paved roads, flush toilets, showers, drinking water, and an amphitheater designed for gatherings. A boat ramp and swimming beach enhance the lake experience, with opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and wildlife observation readily available. While site privacy is minimal due to the close proximity of campsites, the serene setting more than compensates.

Located 12 miles north of Weaverville via Highway 3, the campground is ideally situated for exploring the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Nearby attractions include the historic town of Lewiston and the awe-inspiring Trinity Alps Wilderness, making this destination perfect for weekend getaways and extended vacations.
