Campground Overview
About Williams Bottom Campground
Williams Bottom Campground offers a rugged desert escape nestled along the Colorado River, where towering red rock walls and world-class climbing opportunities converge just minutes from Moab's bustling adventure hub.
This Bureau of Land Management campground features 17 primitive sites suitable for tents and small trailers, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground's strategic location between the renowned Wall Street climbing area and the Poison Spider 4WD trailhead makes it an ideal base camp for outdoor enthusiasts. While amenities are basic, with vault toilets and no potable water, the trade-off is an immersive experience in the raw beauty of Utah's iconic desert landscape.
Situated just 9.6 miles northwest of Moab, Williams Bottom provides easy access to the area's famed outdoor attractions. Arches National Park's otherworldly rock formations lie within a short drive, while the Colorado River's meandering path offers excellent opportunities for rafting and kayaking. The campground's proximity to popular climbing routes and off-road trails ensures that adrenaline seekers will find plenty to occupy their days before returning to camp for stargazing under the vast desert sky.
