About Brooklyn Lake Campground
Cradled near the shores of Brooklyn Lake and framed by the majestic Snowy Range, Brooklyn Lake Campground in southeastern Wyoming combines breathtaking alpine scenery with tranquil seclusion. At an elevation of about 10,500 feet, this campground offers stunning views, direct access to serene trails, and an authentic high-country camping experience.
The campground features 19 well-spaced sites that accommodate tents, small trailers, and RVs, all equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets and drinking water are available on-site, but its rustic charm means no modern conveniences like electric hookups. Highlights include non-motorized boating and fishing at Brooklyn Lake, known for its vibrant trout population, as well as hiking trails like Sheep Lake and Glacier Lakes that lead to pristine vistas. Wildlife sightings, including moose and deer, add to its natural allure, while the remote location offers unparalleled stargazing opportunities.
Situated just eight miles northwest of Centennial and reached via the scenic Highway 130, Brooklyn Lake Campground serves as an ideal base for adventures in the Medicine Bow National Forest. It's perfect for those seeking a weekend retreat, hiking excursions, or a peaceful escape into Wyoming's untamed beauty.
