Campground Overview
About Libby Creek Willow Campground
Tucked away along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, Libby Creek Willow Campground offers a tranquil retreat characterized by its forested setting, meandering creek, and proximity to breathtaking outdoor experiences. Highlighting small-scale charm with just 16 campsites, this campground provides a rustic yet accommodating escape, ideal for those seeking peace, natural beauty, and simple amenities.
Each campsite accommodates tents, trailers, or RVs up to 22–30 feet (varies by source) and comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and pedestal grill. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water, typically available from July through September. The lack of modern hookups and cell service underscores the campground's rugged appeal. The area also offers prime opportunities for fishing in Libby Creek and Barber Lake, hiking the nearby trails, mountain biking, stargazing, and wildlife viewing.
Located just 2 miles northwest of Centennial, Wyoming, and nestled within the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, this campground serves as a gateway to the Snowy Range's natural wonders. Within a short drive lies Barber Lake, stocked with rainbow trout during the summer, and scenic hiking trails such as those originating from Corner Mountain Trailhead. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a peaceful stopover, Libby Creek Willow Campground delivers a quintessential Wyoming backcountry experience.
