Campground Overview
About Cobblerest Campground
Can you imagine a campsite where pristine alpine serenity meets rugged mountain adventure? Cobblerest Campground, perched at 8,500 feet along the scenic Mirror Lake Highway, offers just that. This peaceful destination is defined by its dense pine, fir, and aspen forest, the soothing sounds of the Lower Provo River flowing nearby, and convenient access to an array of outdoor activities.
The campground features 18 single sites equipped with essentials like picnic tables and fire rings, while vault toilets are available for use. However, campers should note the absence of potable water and plan accordingly. Its first-come, first-served system ensures a low-key, uncommercialized experience. Trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as excellent trout fishing in the Provo River, make Cobblerest an ideal base for an extended stay or a weekend escape.
Located just 19 miles from Kamas, Utah, the campground is enveloped by the stunning Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Within a 30-minute drive, visitors can explore additional scenic spots along the Mirror Lake Byway, giving easy access to other pristine lakes, trails, and picnic areas.
