Campground Overview
About Hope Campground
How does Hope Campground compare to your typical rugged forest camping experience? It stands out with its convenient proximity to Provo and Orem, Utah, while still offering a serene escape into nature. Situated along Squaw Peak Road at 6,500 feet in elevation, the campground features shaded sites surrounded by maple, scrub oak, and fir trees, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and seasonal beauty.
The campground offers 24 single sites and 2 group sites, each equipped with picnic tables, fire pits, and grills. While vault toilets are available, campers must bring their own water, as there is no potable water on-site. Popular with hikers and mountain bikers, nearby trails such as the Rock Canyon Trail and Squaw Peak Trail begin just a short distance away. Vivian Park, located 6 miles up Provo Canyon, offers additional recreational opportunities including picnicking, fishing, and access to the scenic Provo River Parkway.
Easily accessible via paved roads, Hope Campground delivers a peaceful retreat just 25 minutes from Provo. It's an ideal choice for families, hikers, or anyone seeking a weekend getaway with connections to nature and proximity to some of Utah’s most picturesque landscapes like Bridal Veil Falls and Deer Creek State Park, both within a 30-minute drive.
